Let's face it, we are all busy. Keeping up with the ever changing landscape of marketing, entrepreneurship, social media can be a challenge with an already full schedule. A tool that I have found that is both educational and entertaining is podcasts. When stuck in traffic or sitting at an hour and half swim team practice, I really enjoy listening to others experiences in business. Not only is it a distraction from the parking lot of Dallas rush-hour traffic, I usually learn something that I can apply to my own business and life.
A good podcast is more than educational, it is entertaining. The more you listen, the more you really get to know and enjoy the host. While the podcasts I listen to all have a business, entrepreneur or marketing spin, they also have a personal side. Think more along the lines of "This American Life", and less like an economics college lecture.
Here are my top ten picks:

While the podcasts I listen to all have a business, entrepreneur or marketing spin, they also have a personal side. Here are my top ten picks:
1. Biz Women Rock
Katie Krimitsos is a dynamic interviewer who not only dives deep into the business aspect, she gets to the personal side of the female business owner. I have heard interviews with the women who helped Michael Buble get his start, to women who got their start by blogging, and everything in-between. A great podcast for both the female and male business owner.
2. Social Media Business Hour with Nile Nickel
Nile has a voice for radio, smooth and captivating, and I hear he may soon be taking his podcast to syndicated radio. Jordan is Nile's side kick and they start each podcast with 'Different News, Different Views'. It's just a fun and thought provoking discussion about current events. The guests on the show come with tips and tricks to help you with social media. Sometimes the topic can stray to other entrepreneurial topics, but it is always loaded with great information delivered in an entertaining format
3. EO Fire |Entrepreneurs On Fire with John Lee Dumas
John is a great entrepreneur, ex-military, located in San Diego. He interviews very interesting guests and there are always a few great take-aways. 4. Embrace Your Global Advantage, As Told By Nomads with Tayo Rockson
Tayo himself has such an interesting story. He has lived on four different continents and brings his own unique experiences and passion for helping others. If you are looking for a podcast with a global view in addition to solid business advice, I would suggest listening to Tayo.
5. M.O.M Motivating Other Moms
Rosemary is a great host who interviews strong momepreneurs. These aren't your bake-sale moms, but strong business leaders who also happen to be moms. A majority of all interviews are focused on entrepreneurial topics, with a little mom-talk thrown in. Moms will relate to topics on organizing your life, staying out of the burnout stage, and overcoming the fear of success.
6. Mixergy - Start-up Stories
Matt is a must-listen for any start-up. He interviews people who have built their business from the ground-up. Not only will you walk away from each episode with value advice you will feel motivated and inspired.
7. Online Marketing Made Easy with Amy Porterfield
Amy brings a great deal of value in each episode that is simply awesome. Amy's advice is easy to understand with actionable ideas. If you are a start-up or a recent entrepreneur, listen to Amy. She will keep you motivated and provide you with real strategies to help your business grow through social media.

Are you looking to be entertained, informed and inspired...then listen to Jon. He brings a refreshing approach to interviewing entrepreneurs, not only getting them to share valuable business insight, but also the personal struggles and successes of business ownership.
9. Marketing In The Know with Buckley Barlow
Buckley provides marketing insight for entrepreneurs. From content development, to inbound marketing, to growing your business to seven figures; Buckley will interview those who will tell you how they have grown their business. This is a fairly new podcast, but definitely worth a listen.
