It's happened. I tell you... I dreamed about it but didn't really expect it would really happen. It did... and now I am chasing my tail.
The business is growing at a phenomenal rate. One that I am not exactly sure I can sustain, but as you would have it, I have been taught by a few great mentors along the way to implement a number of systems, invest in good technology and hire the best people. All of which I have done.
The business is growing at a phenomenal rate. One that I am not exactly sure I can sustain, but as you would have it, I have been taught by a few great mentors along the way to implement a number of systems, invest in good technology and hire the best people. All of which I have done.
Add a bit of marketing with it and its amazing what you can achieve.
Right now, Marketing Eye is blessed. Through good old fashion hard work and determination, we have done what many companies fail to achieve - and that's grow faster than our projected business goals.
While we do have all the things in place that we need to, we forgot one important ingredient and that is hiring new people. We never had a strategy to hire new people. There has been little, or no real marketing towards hiring talent for our company.
I am chasing my tail big time with this and just last week had 9 positions vacant - all newly created. Somehow I got so busy that I forgot to do something that was really important and that is hire people and train them before we bring on new clients.
We will survive and with a collaborative effort internally, somehow we will manage. But it is a lesson for anyone looking for high growth and deploying a strategy marketing strategy that is powerful with real ROI.
In one way I couldn't be happier. In another, I am really scared. It's amazing how you feel when everything falls into place and somehow rather than enjoy it you wait for something to fall apart. It hasn't yet, but I wait. My team assure me that it is impossible to fall apart as we all have had a vested interested in ensuring our systems and processes are second to none.
Most importantly, given our client-centric approach to everything we do and the enormous support our those choosing to do internships with Marketing Eye, we are able to not only meet our clients expectations, but exceed them through the tireless hours spent by interns on doing things like pumping up social media, increasing online engagement and driving leads to our clients websites.
They have been instrumental in keeping our heads above water and for that I am very grateful.
