Robotic technology is making a break into the marketing industry and it is shaking things up. Within the next few years, marketing will change so drastically that everyone in the industry will be starting from new in hopes of keeping up. Unfortunately for the companies that don't adapt to the change and continue selling the same old marketing skill, they set will no longer be able to keep their doors open.

Marketing Professionals: You Must Embrace the Future of Robotics

It's true; the marketing industry has changed. From the development of AI, machine learning and big data, the world has changed, and now marketing has the power to be more accurate and efficient than it ever could be with humans. Of course, robotics won't delete the need for marketing professionals as we will still be needed to write and execute creative campaigns. The robots will take care of the things that are the most time consuming for us marketing professionals, conducting research and analysis.

Thinking about this kind of technology is a bit terrifying not only to marketers but also to marketing media. What does this mean for their jobs? How will they remain relevant? With smaller pages does that mean there will be fewer jobs? What will they do? Unless marketing media disrupts itself, they too may find themselves with redundancy packages.

I have never been afraid of change. In fact, I am inspired by it. I have seen the marketing industry evolve time and time again. From the development of the internet to the use of email and social media, change is not something to be feared. Instead, see it as an opportunity to evolve and grow your skills. Sure, you may have to learn something new and it might be challenging but doing so will progress you as a marketing professional, keep your audiences engaged and most importantly keep your organization relevant.

KPI's are an essential part of ensuring your marketing efforts are running smoothly. Many marketers decline audits for fear that it will show that they missed something along the way. I say that is ridiculous. When someone finds a gap in your method, embrace it, learn from it and take on new skills to be the reason your company went to the next level.

There is nothing to worry about when all you can see is an opportunity for growth. Knowledge is power, and by encompassing the latest technologies and learning them before your competitors, you will take yourself and your business to great lengths.

If you find yourself to be apprehensive, start doing some research. Try to change your perspective and get excited for the change that is to come.  In reading about new marketing trends and study campaigns that are working for other companies in the market, you will be one-step closer to becoming a leader in the marketing industry.
