Start the Day Off Right
If you have never woken up and immediately made your bed, you will not know what I am talking about when I say it is the greatest way to start your day off. It’s such an easy, simple task, and yet upon completion, I am overcome with a great feeling of accomplishment that immediately spikes my mood and wakes me up a little. It enables me to proceed through my day feeling good about myself and knowing that I have already accomplished one thing. No longer am I the walking corpse I used to be, but rather I am lively and ready to face the day. If you do not believe me, just try it once and find out what I mean when I say start your day off right.
Take the Feeling With You
When you face your day having already accomplished one simple task early on, it creates a sort of chain reaction. I am able to take the feeling of accomplishment that I have from making my bed and keep it with me throughout my day, leading me to be far more productive and willing to attempt to accomplish more things. By the end of the day, you will have exponentially achieved more and more of your goals that you had for your day. When once I didn’t have the motivation to face my daily challenges, making my bed in the morning has completely turned that around and allowed me to conquer my day with enthusiasm and a yearning for success
Stress Free
Not only does making your bed enable you to own your day, but it also provides a much needed stress relief in a world where stress is constantly being put on you. Even if the thought of an unmade bed doesn’t bother you, surely a made bed is a nice idea. One of the most satisfying parts of my day is looking at my made bed in the morning and seeing what I have accomplished and then coming home that day, tired and ready to sleep, and being able to get into a neat bed. This concept has an effect on your mind that seems to just make you less worried about the day and what is to come and allows you to push all your stress to the side.
Watch Yourself Succeed
It is a small first step towards success, but still a step, and once you take one step, the rest only become easier and easier. Make you bed and see what you are able to achieve as a result. I promise you will not regret it.
